PHILANTROPY

We are independent. Since 2001, Wikipedia and the Wikimedia chapters around the world have been solely relying on private donations. We do not use advertising.

YOUR SUPPORT MATTERS

The Swiss chapter of the Wikimedia movement, Wikimedia CH, is looking for partners and benefactors from all horizons.

Growing local initiatives to improve Switzerland-related Wikipedia content takes time and resources. Your support helps us develop and carry out new projects that seek to enhance the overall quality of Wikipedia and its sister projects.

OUR MISSION

As Wikimedia CH, we open doors and bring people together with the aim of disseminating free knowledge for a smart and open society. We enable our communities to share knowledge and connect them with the Wikimedia universe. Our mission as a chapter is to promote the work of volunteer contributors who collect, curate and disseminate free knowledge.

We make the Swiss cultural heritage and its diversity more accessible to the world by establishing partnerships with Galleries, Libraries, Archives and Museums to encourage them to better share their collections. Wikimedia CH's aim is also to sensitise all levels of education to sustainable use of digital information. We seek to advance learning at every level by supporting tools and methods for digital learning. Besides, Wikimedia CH advocates for free knowledge, also at the political level.

If you believe that Wikipedia is useful and if you wish to play a role in supporting us, we are looking forward to hear from you.
